Pinnawela Elephant Orphanage

The most remarkable species on land are these gigantic mammals, Elephants. Pinnawela homes a large number of Elephants in its premise and looks after their well being. The orphanage enables for all visitors to witness Elephants in their habitats with no trained or hidden characteristics. The baby Elephants are fed and all bathing so freely while playing in the mud and splashing water at each other, is a sight endemic to Sri Lanka.

Peradeniya Botanical Garden

The Royal Botanical Garden in Peradeniya, was developed by King Kirthi Sri Rajasinghe as Queen’s pleasure Garden, the land highly entertained the royals. Due to the rich soils and the location well reserved a variety of vegetation grows in the land. Colourful, vivid with a collection of more than 300 varieties of orchids, spices, herbs and palms are grown.

Temple of Sacred Tooth

The Golden roofed house with the most significance of the country and the heart of the city, Temple of the Tooth Relic is located in Kandy. The hill capital rewards the area with a panoramic view of mountains amidst the lush greenery around. The most celebrated festive parade is the Esala Perahera held in the month of July or August dated according to the authorities at the Dalada Maligawa, in which the Sacred Tooth Relic is on display to the public and carried on top of the tallest at most masculine Elephant in the country.
